Jackie Robinson attended college at UCLA where he played football, basketball, baseball, and track. After World War 2 began, he enlisted in the Army. In 1947, Jackie became a Brooklyn Dodger, the first major league player who was African American. Jackie's best friend on the team was Pee Wee Reese and their story is told in the book, Teammates.
